Calculating the Least Common Denominator (LCM)
This online calculator lets you quickly find the least common denominator (or least common multiple — LCM) of several numbers. Just enter the denominators in the dedicated fields, and the result is displayed automatically.
The least common denominator is particularly useful for simplifying and adding fractions. For example, if you have the fractions 1/4 and 1/6, the LCM of 4 and 6 is 12, which lets you rewrite the fractions as 3/12 and 2/12 before adding them.
How to use this LCM calculator?
- Enter the denominators of the fractions for which you want to find the LCM. You can enter up to 15 denominators. The calculation happens automatically and quickly.
- The least common denominator is displayed automatically in the "LCM" field.
History and saving
Each calculation can be saved and found again in the history, which lists the entered denominators and the corresponding LCM. You can also export your results in CSV or PDF format to archive or share them.
